Secotom

Precision thin-slice cutter, minimum cutting thickness 0.1 mm, for micro-specimen and thin-film cross-section analysis.

The Secotom is Struers' highest-precision thin-slice cut-off machine, designed for analyses requiring extremely thin cross-sections. Its ultra-low-vibration spindle and precision feed mechanism achieve cutting thicknesses as thin as 0.1 mm with ±0.02 mm accuracy — suited for coating cross-sections, thin-film materials, electronic components, and micro-specimen preparation. The wide speed range (10–5,000 rpm) and multiple wheel options allow the Secotom to handle everything from soft metals to hard ceramics.
